I don’t know about you, but I’m a big Batman fan. I consider him a true social entrepreneur… but that’s another blog post. What makes Batman, Batman in my opinion is his utility belt. Batman without his utility belt is just a guy in a rubber suit (kind of weird, huh?). His utility belt is what helps him make the most of tough situations and creates opportunities for him to succeed.
Now, you may be thinking, “What do I need with a batarang as an entrepreneur?” Well, to be honest, an entrepreneur’s utility belt isn’t filled with fancy gadgets, but with simple everyday things that will help you make the most of every moment, everywhere (including waiting in line at the post office, sitting on a long flight, or in a public restroom.)
Also, there’s no Alfred to hook you up with all of these gadgets, but I’ll show you how to get them for cheap. Here’s what you’ll need:
Features:
Basic - Lists your name and email address (Can be black and white)
Advanced – Lists your company logo, name, physical address, phone number, fax numbers, email address, twitter username, facebook username, linkedin username, and mission of your company. (Note: Good to use both sides and color)
Uses:
• Hand out to contacts whenever you meet them. (Note: Don’t immediately give someone your business card, at least have a conversation with them first. Also ask for the other person’s card in exchange.)
For Ultimate Bootstrappers:
• VistaPrint.com gives a great a deal where you can get 250 business cards for free (they have VistaPrint’s logo on the back, though). Or you can spend like $20 or less to get ones in color without their logo on the back.
• Create them yourself by buying thick paper and printing and cutting them yourself.
